MTNL Mumbai Slashed 3G Activation Charge and Revises Data Plan

mtnl 3gIn an attempt to provide affordable mobility with the benefits of 3G Mobile service, Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL), India’s first 3G mobile service operator today revised its 3G Activation charges and Increased Data Cap one all 3G Data Recharge Plans and Prepaid Coupons to garner more subscribers under its 3G segment.

MTNL is the only telecom operators offering 3G services in Mumbai telecom circle as private players wait for 3G auction to see the light of the day

MTNL slashed the one time activation charges of 3G from Rs.300 to Rs.149. So all the existing 2G customers of MTNL can now switch to 3G by spending Rs.149 However new customer can get the 3G service at just Rs.40 with lots of Pre bundled benefits. To activate the 3G service on existing MTNL mobile number, Prepaid subscribers can SMS ‘ACT 3G’ to 444 and postpaid to 555.

MTNL Mumbai also increased the Data Cap on all 3G Recharges and Data Plans for its Prepaid and Postpaid 3G mobile service. Here are the Details :
