Nothing has officially confirmed the arrival of a new smartphone lineup called the Phone (b) Series, marking the introduction of a new product category within the company’s growing smartphone portfolio. The announcement was teased with the slogan “It’s (b)eginning”, hinting at an imminent launch and a broader expansion of the brand’s device lineup.

A dedicated Flipkart microsite has also gone live, confirming that the upcoming device will be available in India. While Nothing has yet to reveal the final product name, teaser materials strongly suggest that the first smartphone under the new series could be launched as the Nothing Phone (4b).

Nothing Introduces a New Naming Structure

Nothing Co-Founder Akis Evangelidis explained the rationale behind the company’s evolving naming strategy. According to the company, numbers will continue to represent device generations, while letters will be used to distinguish different product segments within the portfolio.

The company says the existing A Series will remain its premium mid-range offering positioned below the flagship Phone lineup, while the newly introduced B Series is designed to target a different market segment without relying on traditional naming conventions such as Lite, SE, or Plus variants.

Potentially the First Entry-Level Nothing Phone

The introduction of the B Series comes shortly after Nothing confirmed that it would not launch a successor to the CMF Phone lineup this year due to component pricing and supply chain considerations.

Industry speculation suggests that Nothing may use the B Series to bring more affordable smartphones under the main Nothing brand while maintaining its signature transparent design language and software experience. This approach could allow the company to streamline product development while strengthening brand recognition across different price segments.

Recent teaser animations released by Nothing India, including one carrying the caption “(b)usted”, have further fueled speculation surrounding the upcoming device.

Launch Expected Soon

Although Nothing has not officially revealed specifications, pricing, or a launch date, the activation of the Flipkart teaser page indicates that the unveiling is likely to take place in the near future.

More details regarding hardware, features, and positioning within Nothing’s smartphone lineup are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
