realme India has launched the realme 16x 5G, expanding its number series with a smartphone focused on long battery life, smooth performance, a high-refresh-rate display, and durability. The smartphone combines a 7,000 mAh Titan battery, 45W fast charging, MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC with up to 18 GB Dynamic RAM, a 144 Hz display, 50 MP AI camera, IP65 rating with MIL-STD-810H shock-resistant design, and realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16.
The realme 16x 5G features a 6.8-inch LCD display with an HD+ resolution (1,570 x 720 pixels, 254 PPI pixel density) and up to a 144 Hz refresh rate. The panel supports up to 180 Hz touch sampling, and up to 1,200 nits HBM brightness for improved outdoor visibility. The display supports 83% DCI-P3 colour gamut in Vivid mode and 100% sRGB in Natural mode, along with 8-bit colour depth. It is protected by Panda-1681 cover glass.
realme has used a 2.5D curved frame for improved grip, while the phone is available in Glory White and Endurance Brown color options. The smartphone measures about 8.8 mm in thickness and weighs approximately 217 grams. The realme 16x 5G also carries IP65 dust and water resistance and has passed MIL-STD-810H military-grade shock resistance testing, including multi-angle drops and high-intensity impacts. realme claims testing for drops from up to 1.8 metres.
The realme 16x 5G introduces realme’s Blooming Design, featuring a shimmer coating with a 7-layer structure and micron-level light sculpting. The phone also includes an Elegant Pulse Light system that provides notifications through nine colors and five lighting modes. The lighting can respond to notifications, music, calls, and camera countdowns, adding a visual element to the rear design.

The phone also supports All-Scenario Bypass Charging for cooler gaming while connected to power and 6.5W reverse wired charging for charging compatible devices.
realme also promises 6 years of battery health, with the battery designed to retain at least 80% capacity after six years under the company’s specified usage conditions.
The smartphone is powered by the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G SoC, paired with ARM Mali-G57 MC2 graphics. It is available in 4 GB or 6 GB LPDDR4X RAM with up to 256 GB UFS 2.2 storage, with microSD expansion support. realme also offers up to +12 GB of Dynamic RAM expansion, taking the total available memory to up to 18 GB on the 6 GB variant. The company claims the phone can keep up to 10 applications active in memory.
For thermal management, the realme 16x 5G features a large 5,300 mm²+ AirFlow VC System. realme claims the cooling system can reduce temperatures by up to 2°C and improve gaming smoothness by up to 25.6% compared with previous-generation products without a vapor chamber. The phone is designed to deliver stable 60 fps gaming in supported titles, with realme claiming up to 10 hours of stable gaming in games such as Free Fire and BGMI.
For photography, the realme 16x 5G features a 50 MP AI rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture, 75° field of view, 5P lens, and autofocus support. The realme 16x 5G runs realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16 with 2 Android OS updates and 3 years of Android security patches for the device. The software introduces realme’s new Flux Engine, which is designed to improve system responsiveness, animations, app scrolling, and heavy-load performance. realme claims up to 15% faster daily response, 29% smoother app scrolling, and 22% smoother heavy-loading applications compared with realme UI 6.0.
