Samsung launches three entry-level Android KitKat smartphones in India

After being spotted several times on online retail stores, Samsung has finally officially launched three new entry-level smartphones in India.

Samsung has officially announced the launch of three new smartphones in India – the Samsung Galaxy Star 2, the Galaxy Star Advance and the Galaxy Ace NXT. All the three entry-level smartphone run on the latest Android KitKat version. The handsets are said to specially crafted for the Indian market and support 12 Indian regional languages including Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Guajarati, Punjabi, Urdu, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Oriya, and Assamese.

The Samsung Galaxy Star 2 is the smallest with a 3.5 inch display whereas the Galaxy Star Advance and the Galaxy Ace NXT have a 4 inch display. Similarly the former runs on a single core 1 GHz processor whereas the other two are powered by a 1.2 GHz dual core processor.

The Samsung Galaxy Star 2 is priced at Rs. 5100 and would be available in White and Grey colours. The Samsung Galaxy Star Advance is priced at Rs. 7400 and would be available in White and Black colours. Similarly the Samsung Galaxy Ace NXT is priced at Rs. 7400 and would be available in White and Black colours.

Speaking about the launch, Asim Warsi, Vice President, Marketing, Mobile & IT at Samsung India said, “Samsung is committed to offer the best in technology and innovative products at an affordable price to the consumers. We believe in cutting across language and data cost barriers to ensure every consumer has access to the world of smartphones. Especially created for the Indian market Galaxy Star 2, Galaxy Star Advance and Galaxy Ace NXT have been launched to provide a larger set of consumers with the experience of superior mobile technologies and richer internet experience at an affordable price.”
