Sony has announced the Sony RX10 V, the fifth-generation model in its RX10 all-in-one super zoom camera series. Designed for photographers and content creators looking for a versatile all-in-one solution, the camera combines a 20.1 MP 1.0-type stacked Exmor RS CMOS sensor, AI-powered autofocus, 4K 120p video recording, and a ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T 24-600mm F2.4-4.0 lens* offering 25x optical zoom. The Sony RX10 V also brings Sony’s latest imaging technologies, including the BIONZ XR image processor, dedicated AI Processing Unit, Real-time Recognition AF, and blackout-free continuous shooting at up to 30 fps.

AI Autofocus & High-Speed Performance
At the heart of the Sony RX10 V is a 20.1 MP effective 1.0-type stacked Exmor RS CMOS sensor paired with Sony’s BIONZ XR image processor. The camera also incorporates a dedicated AI Processing Unit, enabling Real-time Recognition AF capable of detecting and tracking a wide variety of subjects.
The AI autofocus system supports recognition of:

- Trains
- Airplanes
Sony’s Human Pose Estimation technology helps maintain accurate subject tracking even when faces are partially obscured or turned away.
The RX10 V supports blackout-free continuous shooting at up to 30 fps, while performing up to 60 AF/AE calculations per second to maintain accurate focus and exposure during burst shooting.
ZEISS 24-600mm Lens with Macro Capability
The camera features a built-in ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T 24-600mm F2.4-4.0* lens, covering focal lengths from wide-angle to super-telephoto with 25x optical zoom.
The optical design also supports macro photography, allowing focus as close as 3cm at the 24mm end and approximately 72cm at 600mm.

The RX10 V adopts an ergonomic design inspired by Sony’s Alpha mirrorless cameras and features a 0.5-type Quad-VGA OLED electronic viewfinder with approximately 3.68 million dots and 0.78x magnification.
A 3.0-inch adjustable touchscreen LCD with 1.62 million dots is also included for composing images and video.
The camera uses Sony’s NP-FZ100 battery, delivering up to 630 shots using the LCD or approximately 570 shots using the electronic viewfinder.
