While Yu, the sub-brand of Micromax, has far been focussing on budget affordable smartphones, the company now seems to be getting into the higher-end range with its upcoming smartphone that is expected to launch later today.
Two upcoming smartphones were recently imported into India for testing purposes. The first – the Yu 5050 is apparently a high-end smartphone flaunting the Snapdragon 810 processor. The handset has a 5.2 inch display with full HD resolution. Also expected is a copious 4 GB of RAM. The device would run on the Cyanogen 12.1. The phone is valued at around Rs. 20000.
Alongside the Yu 5050, the company is also expected to launch the Yu 4711, which would an affordable offering with 4G LTE support. The handset is said to be powered by a quad core Snapdragon 410 processor along with 1 GB of RAM. Both the handsets are expected to be announced later today and we will keep you updated with the detailed specs.
