UC Browser becomes world’s number one third party browser

With the increasing usage of third party apps for phones, UC Browser has apparently reached the number one position.

According to reports from Statcounter, UC Browser is now the world’s number one third party browser. The browser is said to have a market share of 11.1 percent making it the fourth most popular mobile browser after Chrome, Safari and the default Android Browser. The Daily Active User (DAU) has apparently witnessed a 50 percent growth in the second half of 2014.

As for India, UC Browser is said to have captured 41.23 percent of the total mobile browser usage in the country. The other top three in the world are Chrome, Safari and the default Android Browser with 29.76 percent, 21.94 percent and 18.87 percent market share respectively.
