Sony has officially launched its Xperia M4 Aqua in the US. Official launch means you also get the warranty along with the purchase.
The company also tweeted that the Xperia M4 Aqua will exclusively be available for purchase from online retailer Amazon in the US. The model that is being listed on Amazon is an unlocked 16GB model priced at $199.99.
As stated on Amazon, this unlocked model is compatible with AT&T, T-Mobile, Straight Talk, MetroPCS, Simple Mobile, Brightspot, Net10, h20 Wireless, and Cricket Wireless. Also, this device is not compatible with CDMA networks such as Verizon, Sprint, and US Cellular.
As the name suggests, the Xperia M4 Aqua boasts off a waterproof design. The handset is powered by a 1.5GHz Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. It also features a 5-inch display having a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The Xperia M4 Aqua also comes with 16GB internal memory, whereas the external memory can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
The handset features a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The Xperia M4 Aqua runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box and is expected to receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.
