Vodafone 4G LTE services launched in Mumbai

After launching the Vodafone 4G services in Delhi & NCR, Vodafone has now launched its services in Mumbai.

Vodafone India has announced the launch of the 4G LTE services in Mumbai including prominent business and residential corridors of Mumbai across Western suburbs and South Mumbai. The service, which in Mumbai is built on a strong fibre backhaul and is supported by its own new and superfast 3G services on a modern network of 2100 MHz, would allow customers to experience and enhanced mobile internet experience with faster uploads/downloads.

As an introductory offer, Vodafone is offering a complimentary upgrade to 4G SIM for all its customers. Further the company is also offering Free Unlimited movie subscription through a partnership with Hungama Play for three months. The data packs are priced at just Rs. 26 for 50 MB to Rs. 2499 for 20 GB.

To get the new 4G-Ready SIM card, Vodafone customers can walk into any nearby Vodafone store and place a request for a 4G SIM card. After proper identification process and 4G enabled handset compatibility check, you will receive the new 4G-SIM card. To activate the new SIM, SMS ‘SIMEX <your 19-20 digit new 4G SIM card number>’ to 55199. On receiving the response send the last 6 digits of the new SIM number to 55199 within 2 hours. The SIM would then be activated.

Speaking about the launch, Sunil Sood, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Vodafone India, said, “We are delighted to launch our high-speed 4G services in Mumbai for our customers to experience the most advanced wireless broadband experience available across the globe today. Initial response from customers who have experienced our 4G services in Kerala, Karnataka, Kolkata and Delhi & NCR has been positive and encouraging.”
