While the Xiaomi Mi3 is getting sold out repeatedly at every sale, the company is now set to put the affordable Xiaomi Redmi 1s on sale in India.
Xiaomi has announced the Xiaomi Redmi 1s will go on sale in India on September 2 for just Rs. 5999. Just like the Mi3, the Redmi 1s would also be sold in flash sale exclusively on Flipkart, registrations for which will open today at 6 p.m. The device has a 4.7 inch IPS display with Dragontrail glass protection and resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a 1.6 GHz quad core Snapdragon 400 processor along with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage.
The Xiaomi Redmi 1s has an 8 MP rear facing camera with BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. There is also a front facing 1.6 MP camera. The device runs on the Android Jelly Bean version with a layer of the MiUI v5. While the Mi3 has been selling out in a matter of 2-3 seconds, we can expect this handset to sell out in a fraction a second considering the pricing.
