Xiaomi is known for its smartphones, however, the company not only sells smartphones but a lot other products as well like air purifier, action camera, electric bikes, drones, etc. Well yes, in the wearable segment, Xiaomi sells the Mi Band and Mi Band 2. While a smartwatch was missing from the portfolio until now, its sub-brand Huami has today unveiled AMAZFIT Watch in China which is, well, a smartwatch.

This AMAZFIT Watch is powered by a single-core processor which is clocked at 1.2 GHz and laced with 512 MB RAM. In terms of storage, you get 4 GB of space which we think is more than enough for a smartwatch.

The smartwatch features a 1.34-inch circular display which has a resolution of 300 x 300 pixels. The 200 mAh battery on this smartwatch is said to provide 5 days of battery life on normal usage. However, with GPS turned on, you will get 35 hours of battery life. If used only for counting steps, you can get around 11 days of battery backup. It also comes with heart rate monitor, just in case you are too conscious about your fitness.

The AMAZFIT smartwatch is IP67 certified which means you can take use it outside when its raining. However, using it while swimming wouldn’t be a good idea. You can also use this smartwatch to make payments in China using Alibaba’s AliPay payment service.

The bezels of this watch are made from ceramic adding more protection against scratches. Also, the watch band is user replaceable, hence you can replace it with any 22nm band to suit your style.

The AMAZFIT watch is priced at RMB 799 which is around $120/₹8000. It will go on sale in China from tomorrow, however, there’s no word about its availability outside of China.
