Two weeks ago, South Korean tech giant LG announced the LG X4 smartphone which came with budget level specs at a mid-range price. Well now, LG has announced a new smartphone that comes with entry-level specifications – dubbed LG Zone 4.
Being a budget smartphone, the specifications of the LG Zone 4 aren’t all that special. The Zone 4 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 425 SoC which is mated to 2 GB of RAM and backed by Adreno 308 GPU.
The smartphone features a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, and, it comes with a big chin which is poor use of space as there’s neither a fingerprint scanner nor capacitive navigation keys. We would have loved LG to cram in a bit larger display by trimming down the bezels and still maintaining the same overall footprint that it now has with that big chin. But anyways, it’s an entry-level smartphone after all.
Having said that, the LG Zone 4 boots up to Android 7.1.2 Nougat, and, has 16 GB of internal storage. However, you can always expand the storage up to 2 Terabytes via microSD card.
For photography, the LG Zone 4 has an 8 MP camera at the back and a 5 MP camera on the front. The Zone 4 only comes in one color, and, fueling the entire package is a 2500 mAh battery underneath. Oh, and there’s also a fingerprint scanner at the back for additional security.
