The tough times for Nokia actually started after the announcement made by the CEO Stephen Elop to join hands with Microsoft, the workers of Tampere left the workplace to demonstrate their protest.
Cause of protest?
Since nokia mainly focused on Symbian OS, the venture with Microsoft means that the shift will be towards Windows, that would result in ousting the Symbian developers, though there is no official word from the company and said that it would enhance the windows product line. But it’s clear that they are really oriented towards Windows OS. I guess this is the Me”go” season for Nokia.
