While Google is known to push its ads forcing people to view them it important utilities, seems like the company may soon push some in your Gmail app for Android.

According a developer who ripped open the Gmail for Android APK file, the app had newly added libraries called ads, along with messages, functions and classes mentioning advertisements. There is also a “ShowAdPreferenceManager()” function routes users to the ad settings page for their very own Google account.

AS of now it is not yet known what kind of ads can be expected in your Gmail inbox, if at all the company starts pushing ads, however it seems it would be possible to save ads as messages. We can also expect to find ads related to searches made on the phone as well as based on the geo-location.  Google however hasn’t mentioned anything about the ads in the Gmail inbox.
