While Huawei is generally conservative about the Indian smartphone market, the company decided to begin the year by announcing four new smartphones.
Huawei launched four new Android smartphones, including two entry level smartphones. The new smartphones namely the Huawei Ascend G700, the Ascend G610, the Ascend Y511 and the Ascend Y320 are all dual SIM devices running on the Android 4.2 version. All the devices are also equipped with a front facing VGA camera.
The Huawei Ascend G700 and the Ascend G610 are both powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core processor whereas the Ascend Y511 and the Ascend Y320 are powered by a 1.3 GHz dual core processor. The Ascend G700 comes with 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory, while the Ascend G610 comes with 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of internal memory and the Ascend Y511 and Ascend Y320 have just 512 MB of RAM with 4 GB of internal storage.
The Huawei Ascend G700 and the Ascend G610 have an 8 MP and 5 MP camera respectively whereas the Ascend Y511 and Ascend Y320 have smaller 3 MP and 2 MP camera respectively. The Ascend G700 is priced at Rs. 17999, the Ascend G610 at Rs. 12999, the Ascend Y511 at Rs. 7499 and the Ascend Y320 at Rs. 6499.
