Micromax Canvas Tube A118r smartphone coming with 5.5-inch screen soon

Micromax’s Russian launch has been full of surprises, whether it be the Canvas Beat or its LapTab. Well, the company has something else under its belt – The Micromax Canvas Tube A118r smartphone is the new phablet from the company, currently headed to Russia.

The Micromax Canvas Tube A118r seems like a distant cousin of the Micromax Doodle 2 smartphone. Most of the specs of the Canvas Tube are out. It will come with a 5.5-inch touchscreen, 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, Android 4.2.2, 3G, 8-megapixel rear cam, 2-megapixel front cam and 2300 mAh battery. As for the RAM or internal memory, no details are available as yet.

The Canvas Tube comes with an inkling for being media savvy. It will connect easily to media via the IVI.ru app in Russia. There is no word on an Indian launch of the smartphone though.
