While we had seen the press renders of the upcoming flagship offering from Motorola, the specs of the devices have now surfaced.
According to sources, Motorola is indeed working on two new flagship offerings. However, given the new naming scheme employed by Lenovo, the handsets would be called as the Moto Z Style and the Moto Z Play. A mentioned earlier, the devices would flaunt the square home button with the fingerprint scanner embedded within and have support for modular components.
The Moto Z Style, which is said to be the premium flagship, is said to sport a 5.5 inch Quad HD display. Like the other flagships of early 2016, it would be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor along with 32 GB of storage. It is however expected to be available in 3 GB and 4 GB RAM options. Also expected is a decent 13 MP camera with OIS and laser auto focus.
The Moto Z Play, on the other hand, would be budget flagship offering with the same 5.5 inch display but with just full HD resolution. The smartphone is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and would be available in two variants – one with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage, the other with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. Surprisingly, the handset is said to have a 16 MP camera sensor, which is even higher than the Moto Z Style.
