And now we have yet another Galaxy S IV rumor stating that the smartphone may have wireless charging capability.

According to Korean media DDaily, the upcoming iteration of the Galaxy S series will go on to support the Qi standard, which allows charging using wireless power. For this purpose, a special module would be made, which Samsung might sell separately and not bundle it with the device.

It is also being said that Samsung was researching on a more advanced wireless charging technology known as resonant magnetic coupling. If successful, that could it could the user to charge the phone from a distance of up to 2 meters against the present 4 centimeters. But due to cost viability this project appears to have been be trashed.
