With every operator announcing numerous offers for national calling, Aircel took a plunge further and offered the first international calling plan.
Aircel has announced the launch of the first of its kind calling plan called the Aircel ISD 54444. With this plan Aircel customers would enjoy special ISD call rates of 1p/sec for international calls. Aircel, which is the first telecom service provider in India to provide such plan, would not levy any additional charges to avail this plan.
To avail the Aircel ISD 54444, customers have to prefix 54444 to the international number they wish to call and avail discounted international calls at 1p/sec to select destinations including USA, Canada, Singapore, China and UK. However this service is not available on roaming.
Aircel has also launched an ISD Super rate cutter pack which offers international calls through pay per second rate to destinations in America, Europe, Asia and Gulf countries. The pack, which is valid for 28 days, is priced at Rs. 18. Also all the new Aircel customers would get the benefits of ISD Super tariff pre-activated in their new plan for 90 days.

International calling is usually perceived as expensive so through our ISD plans we aim to break this myth by offering international calling at rates more affordable than local calling.”
