With the continuous onslaught of Reliance Jio, telecom operators are finding it difficult to retain their customers even before the commercial launch of Jio’s 4G services. In order to retain the existing customers, telecom operators are announcing new plans and are also slashing the rates of their 3G/4G data packs by more than 50%, and, in one such move, Airtel too has announced a new offer for its 3G/4G prepaid customers.

Airtel has announced the ‘Mega Saver Pack’ for its 3G/4G prepaid customers. This pack will offer more value on data to the customers with every subsequent recharge while saving money as well.

There are two different packs within the Mega Saver Pack, one is priced at ₹748 whereas the other is priced at ₹1498. The first pack offers 1 GB of 3G/4G data with a validity of 28 days. However, for the next 6 months customers can do unlimited recharge of ₹99 to get 1 GB of 3G/4G data with a validity of 28 days.

If you do a recharge of ₹1498, you will get 1 GB of 3G/4G data with a validity of 28 days, and after that for 12 months, customers can do unlimited recharge of ₹51 to get 1 GB of 3G/4G data with a validity of 28 days. While both these packs look affordable, you still have to pay either ₹748 or ₹1498 in the beginning to enjoy affordable data packs for the next 6 or 12 months depending on the recharge you did.

“At Airtel, we are constantly innovating to provide superior experience and great value to our customers. With these innovative packs, we are redefining the value proposition on our data packs and allowing our customers get a lot more within the same budget.” said Mr. Ajai Puri, Director – Operations (India & South Asia), Bharti Airtel.

These packs are currently available for customers in Delhi and will be availed in other circles across India by August 31. You can head on to www.airtel.in/mobile/prepaid for more details.
