The updated welfare program will cover nearly 90,000 delivery associates and forms part of Amazon’s recently announced investment of over ₹2,800 crore (approximately $300 million) focused on associate safety, health, financial well-being, and logistics expansion.
The investment is also aligned with Amazon’s broader commitment to invest more than $35 billion in India by 2030 across areas including AI-led digitization, logistics growth, exports, and job creation.

Expanded Health & Insurance Benefits
Amazon says the revised benefits package is designed to provide stronger medical coverage, financial protection, and healthcare accessibility for delivery associates and their families.
Key benefits include:

- Coverage extended to associates and up to three family members annually
- Unlimited multilingual virtual doctor consultations
- Two free physical OPD visits per family every year
- Discounts on diagnostics, pharmacy, dental, and eye care services

To strengthen preventive healthcare access, Amazon has partnered with a third-party insurer to conduct nationwide health camps across delivery stations. These camps began in March across metro and Tier II cities and include services such as:
- General physician consultations

- BMI and wellness assessments
- Heat-risk identification screenings
Associates can access these services using government-issued identity proof.

The company currently operates 100 Ashray centers and plans to expand the network to 250 centers during 2026, including 50 new centers opening by the end of May.
Amazon noted that these facilities are accessible to delivery workers from any company, not just Amazon delivery associates.

- Sanitary pad dispensing machines
- Upskilling opportunities for internal career growth
According to Amazon, these initiatives are aimed at improving long-term well-being, safety, and career support for its growing logistics workforce across India.

Salim Memon, Director – Operations, Amazon India, said, “As we continue to invest in our operations network, infrastructure, and frontline workforce across India, the safety and wellbeing of our delivery associates remain a top priority. We have expanded insurance coverage across OPD, hospitalization, and accident benefits to provide more comprehensive support, and are also rolling out nationwide health camps offering free check-ups and preventive care. These initiatives are part of our recent ₹2,800 crore investment to further strengthen associate well-being and scale our operations infrastructure across the country.”
