Amazon Music has expanded its music streaming portfolio in India with the launch of Amazon Music Unlimited, a new premium subscription tier designed for users seeking ad-free listening, high-fidelity audio formats, and offline playback. With the introduction of the new service, Amazon Music now offers three distinct tiers in India, catering to casual listeners, Prime members, and premium audio enthusiasts.
The newly launched Amazon Music Unlimited sits at the top of the lineup and provides access to more than 100 million songs and podcasts on demand. Subscribers can enjoy completely ad-free playback along with support for HD Audio, Ultra HD Audio, and Spatial Audio powered by Dolby Atmos. The service also includes offline downloads, allowing users to save music and podcasts directly to their devices for listening without an active internet connection.
Alongside the launch of Music Unlimited, Amazon has also restructured the benefits available to Prime members. Amazon Music remains included with Prime membership at no additional cost, providing access to the full catalog of over 100 million songs and podcasts. However, the Prime tier now includes limited advertisements and no longer supports offline downloads.
Amazon has also confirmed that Amazon Music Free will be introduced in India soon. The upcoming tier will offer access to the complete music catalog at no cost through an ad-supported experience, although some premium features will remain exclusive to paid subscriptions.
To celebrate the launch, Amazon is offering extended trial periods for new subscribers. Prime members can access Amazon Music Unlimited free for six months, while non-Prime customers receive a three-month free trial before the subscription automatically renews at the applicable monthly rate.
