android-logo-1According to Millennial Media Google’s O.S Android has snatched the title from iOS as the top operating system on Millennial’s Mobile ad network.

Android has 46 percent of the share for December and apple has 32 percent. Which means that Android has increased 8 percent on a month-to-month basis compared to 12 percent of apple? RIM went down to third place with only 16 percent share and down 3 percent from November.

The survey also stated that requests for Android ads have grown by 141 percent from third to fourth quarter compared to Apple’s 12 percent quarter to quarter growth.

Well the reason behind this are many as iOS provides ads for limited products and in android ads have many options. Another reason might be that Android has many manufacturers using it and many carriers compared to iPhone’s AT&T network and now Verizon.

We can clearly see here how fast Android has been growing but we also hope to see other operating systems like Windows and Meego to give a competition to iOS too.
