After managing to jail-break the iPad’s with iOS 6.1, the OS was thoroughly inspected. and besides the previously existing contents, something new was found. The iPad Music app had files which resemble the radio button which is seen in the iTunes for Mac.
The button files indicate that there might be radio functionality for the device but the device doesn’t currently support radio, though it wouldn’t be too difficult to make it. Also it is quite possible that instead of actual radio service, Apple might add a streaming service like the iTunes Radio.
Apple, which is currently trying to conquer all segments of the tech and entertainment industry, had earlier signalled that it would launch its own radio service which would take out even the established Spotify. Whether this is possible or not is yet to be decided.
