With the tablet market rising steadily in India and more new tablet devices being announced regularly, Asus has decided not to be left behind and announced the launch of its 7-inch Asus MeMO Pad ME 172V in India for Rs.9999.
The Asus MeMO Pad ME 172V which looks strikingly similar to the Nexus 7, is a standard 7 inch tablet with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels and is powered by a single core processor of 1 GHz with 1 GB of RAM. The tablet has 8 GB of on-board storage and to aid the low internal memory a microSD card slot is provided to expand the memory.
The Asus MeMO Pad, which comes in Pink, White and Grey colour variants, has a small 1 megapixel front facing camera while the tablet runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. The device has a 4,325 mAh battery which should give a long up time for the device.
