Bharti Airtel, which is one of the major players for 4G services in India, has fully acquired the Wireless Business Services (WBSPL), which was founded by Qualcomm Inc. With the acquisition Airtel has 4G spectrum in four circles of Delhi, Mumbai, Kerala and Haryana. Airtel hasn’t revealed the amount involved in the transaction.

Airtel already has airwaves in Punjab, Maharashtra, Kolkata and Karnataka circles besides the current offerings in Bangalore, Pune, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula. However DoT is still ascertaining whether the equity had to be maintained until acquiring the ISP licence after a company won the spectrum.
