While the BlackBerry Passport smartphone is all set to be launched later tomorrow, the company seems to be gearing up to launch the smartphone in India early next week.
BlackBerry India has sent out press invites for a launch event scheduled on September 29 in New Delhi. While the invite doesn’t mention any device specifically, it has the caption “See the bigger picture”, which incidentally is also visible on the global launch invites of the BlackBerry Passport. Hence we can expect the BlackBerry Passport announcement at the Indian event.
The BlackBerry Passport is a premium smartphone which has a unique box shaped design with three rows of the QWERTY keypad with small keys. The smartphone has 4 inch display with super high resolution of 1440 x 1440 pixels. While we currently have no confirmation, rumours suggest that the handset would be price in the Rs. 40000 price range.
