Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced a new prepaid plan for in Tamil Nadu telecom circle called the Nesam Super plan. Priced at Rs. 801 including the cost of 2G or 3G SIM, BSNL will give users full talktime of Rs. 800 which they have to utilize within 6 months from the date of activation. If there is any talktime left after 6 months, it will forfeit. This plan will come with an initial validity of 180 days but after one year this plan will expire and all users will be converted to the Saral Anant plan thus giving lifetime validity to users.
The call charges for this plan for Local/STD/Roaming calls are 1p/sec to BSNL network and 1.2p/sec to other networks. Incoming calls during roaming will be charged as per 2G tariff. During night users will enjoy reduced tariff of 20p/min on BSNL numbers and 40p/min to other network. Users opting for this plan will also get 200 Local SMS free for the first six months and STD SMS will be charged at Re.1 and International SMS will be charged at Rs. 5/SMS
