Hence BSNL will not collect any amount towards security deposit from the customers while a customer books for new Landline connection. The Security deposit of Rs 500 will instead be collected in the first bill after the connection is established at the subscriber’s desired place. This ‘Zero’ registration charge promotional offer is valid for a period of 90 days valid from 1st Dec 2011.

The offer is good but it’s not totally free as the fee will be collected in the first bill.
