Canva has announced a new integration with Perplexity Computer, enabling users to transform AI-generated research, strategy documents, competitive analysis, and business briefs into fully editable visual assets. The move expands Canva’s growing AI ecosystem and aims to reduce the gap between generating insights and turning them into publishable content.

Canva x Perplexity

According to Canva, content creation has become the primary use case for AI among small businesses, with 74% using digital platforms to compete with larger organizations. The company noted that Perplexity, which serves more than 100 million monthly active users, has become a popular platform for research, information discovery, and strategic planning.

The new integration allows users to connect their Canva account directly within Perplexity Computer. Once connected, AI-generated outputs such as meeting summaries, competitive research, campaign briefs, and business insights can be automatically converted into editable design formats.

With the Canva connector, users can create:

  • Presentation decks and pitch materials
  • Social media and marketing campaign assets
  • Infographics and data storytelling visuals
  • Brand kits and reusable templates

Canva says the integration addresses a common challenge faced by businesses where research and planning tools are often disconnected from content creation platforms, requiring manual work to bridge the two stages.

Users can generate structured briefs using multiple data sources, including:

  • Meeting notes
  • Performance metrics
  • Internal business information
  • Live web research and context

These AI-generated briefs can then be converted into Canva projects that remain fully editable, allowing teams to refine designs, collaborate with colleagues, and publish content across various platforms.

Canva Perplexity Connectors

The company highlighted several real-world use cases for the integration, including converting sales leads into personalized presentation decks, turning client meetings into polished proposals, and transforming seasonal market trends into ready-to-launch marketing campaigns.

Unlike many AI tools that focus primarily on generating information, Canva says its goal is to help users move directly from insights to execution. All assets created through the integration can be edited, customized, and reused inside Canva’s design environment.

The Perplexity integration is part of Canva’s broader strategy to make its design tools available across major AI ecosystems. The company recently introduced its Canva MCP Server and has expanded integrations across several leading AI platforms.

Canva currently supports integrations with:

  • Claude
  • ChatGPT
  • Copilot
  • Gemini
  • Perplexity Computer

The company says it now serves more than 250 million monthly users across 190 countries, with AI-powered design creation seeing significant growth over the past year.

The Canva connector is available for:

  • Perplexity Pro
  • Perplexity Max

  • English
