Celkon UniQ with 5-inch display, 16 MP camera and Android 7.0 Nougat launched in India

Indian smartphone brand Celkon launched the Celkon Star 4G+ smartphone in India last December. The Star 4G+, however, was an entry-level smartphone. But now, Celkon has launched a new smartphone in India with better specs – called the Celkon UniQ.

The Celkon UniQ is a budget smartphone. It flaunts a metal uni-body construction, and, sports a 5-inch HD display that’s layered with 2.5D curved glass atop. The smartphone is powered by an unknown quad-core processor which is clocked at 1.3 GHz and is coupled with 3 GB RAM.

The Celkon UniQ runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box which means you get features like multi-window, improved doze mode and quick reply. There’s also a fingerprint scanner at the front below the display that’s round in shape which actually reminds us of older iPhones.

That said, in terms of optics, the Celkon UniQ has a 16 MP camera at the back and an 8 MP camera on the front which is accompanied by “Moonlight” flash so that you can take relatively brighter photos in low-light conditions.

The Celkon UniQ also comes with 32 GB of internal storage, has 4G VoLTE support, and, is offered in two colors – Gold and Grey. Besides, the smartphone comes with a 2700 mAh battery which fuels the entire package.
