Almost a month back we told you about an upcoming Nokia 801T for China and today the device has gone official. The TD-CDMA device is a bit weird and totally different from other Nokia Devices.

801t

The 801T is a 4 inch device is made out of stainless steel and is said to be the industry’s first one-piece stainless steel back panel (Unibody). Oh and it has curves here and there and also features an in-built telescopic TV antenna. TV antenna! Oh Really? Well yes! Remember that until now we saw all these antennas only in fake China-made Nokia devices, but this one has the TV antenna on it ‘OFFICIALLY’.

Nokia 801T has NFC capability, 3G and runs on Symbian^3 OS. I don’t understand as to why it is running Symbian^3 OS when we have Symbian Belle out already. Also as you can see in the official pictures of the device, it has Belle-kind icons all over, so to say Symbian^3 running on the device would be wrong. Also no official specs are available but via the previous leak, the devices’ specs are as below:
  • Network frequency 900MHz, 1800MHz, 850MHz, 1900MHz
  • Size 125.12 × 64.97 × 11.57 (mm)
  • Weight 171 (g)
  • Screen size 52.64 × 96.06 × 1.41 (mm); supports touch screen, TFT with 16 million colours
  • 8MP camera
  • 256MB internal memory, Expandable with miniSD up to 32 GB
  • 3G Support, TD-SCDMA
  • Symbian ^ 3 OS
  • Mobile phone standard TD-SCDMA/GSM dual-mode

  • Operating system: Symbian

  • Phone memory 256MB
