Gionee Elife S7 with a 5.5 mm thin body, 64-bit Octa-core processor launched in India for 24,999

Gionee recently started sending out invites for the launch of its flagship, the Elife S7 in India and as promised, the company has just launched the smartphone in the country.


The Gionee flagship, which was unveiled back at MWC 2015 is said to be “super-fast and super slim” and well, that’s pretty accurate. The Gionee Elife S7 comes with 5.5 mm thick body, making it one of the thinnest smartphones we have come across. The device boasts of a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED Full HD (1920x1080p) display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

It’s super fast as well, as under the hood it’s powered by the 64-bit Octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor clocked at 1.7 GHz with Mali-T760MP2 GPU. The multitasking needs are handled by the 2 GB RAM. There’s 16 GB of internal storage with no microSD expansion in tow.


On the camera front, the rear of the Elife S7 is equipped with a 13 MP camera unit with laser autofocus and LED flash. Gionee’s software algorithms manage to take 6 photos in 1 second from the rear camera. The front the device is packed with an 8 MP camera unit, so selfies shouldn’t be a problem.

The Gionee Elife S7 comes with the company’s very own Amigo OS 3.0 on top of Android 5.0 Lollipop and a 2750 mAh battery powers the device. On the connectivity front, it’s well covered as you would expect from a flagship device and along with the usual features, there’s Dual SIM and 4G LTE.
