Google I/O: Google+ updates for Android and iOS, brings in tablet support

Until now the Google+ app was smartphone centric, but now Google has announced a new update to the app.

The new update for the social media app includes some bug fixes, a new Party Mode, a few visual changes and support for tablet devices (finally).

Besides a few visual changes, the app is now optimized for Android tablets and for the iPad as well with a new navigation system and Hangout video chats which look appealing on large displays. You can also use the app in landscape mode and the best part is that it looks brilliant on the new iPad thanks to the Retina display.

The update is already out for Android users, but iOS device owners will have to wait for a little while longer.

– Tablet support
– New feature: Events with Party Mode
– Visual refresh and improved navigation
– Improved circle management
