For everyone who has been waiting for the 7-inch tablet, the Google Nexus 7 to arrive in India there is some good news coming in.

Nexus-7

As per the reports doing the rounds, Google and ASUS are planning to launch the tablet in India tomorrow for Rs.19,999.

Back in September, ASUS India had announced that the Nexus 7 will be launched in India in November and so if the the announcement happens tomorrow, it is well in time.

Along with the news of the arrival of the Nexus 7 in India, Croma Retail has already listed the tablet on its website for Rs. 19,981 for the 16 GB version of the tablet which has now become the basic model, after Google decided to scrap the 8 GB version.

Going by the price tag that the Nexus 7 is arriving in India, it is definitely highly priced as in the US, the tablet cost just $199.99 which calculates to anywhere between Rs.10,000 – Rs.11,000 going by the conversion rate. So by that, the Nexus 7 has been priced almost double in India.

There is no information on the 3G version of the Nexus 7 which was also made official last week.

The Google Nexus 7 packs in the following specifications:

  • 7 inch capacitive touch screen with HD IPS Display
  • 1.3 GHz Quad-core Tegra 3 processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 1.2 MP front facing camera
  • Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
  • Resolution of 1280 x 800
  • 4,325mAh battery
  • Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC

For now, we will wait for an official announcement from ASUS and Google which we expect to happen tomorrow.
