Competing with other renowned instant messengers, home grown app hike, which is a free cross-platform messaging app announced a major update to the app.
The update to the hike messaging app brings stickers, last seen feature, walkie-talkie and even offline support, thus making it the biggest overhaul in the features of the app. The stickers added to the app, which include Miley the cat, Snuggles the dog, Expressions, Rage Faces and even a playful Bollywood pack, are supposed to add a lot more character and fun to messaging especially amongst the youth.
Also when a user is offline, hike’s new Offline feature allows the other users to send the message as a free SMS to that person. The reply however would be received in the app itself by other online users. Similarly the app now has the Last Seen feature which shows when your friends were last seen on the app. However users will be able to choose who sees when they were ‘Last Seen’ on the app.
