How to change default search engine in Google Chrome [Android Guide]

It all started with a search engine, and now fast forward to today, Google has expanded itself into many sectors. The default search engine in Google Chrome is, well of course, Google. Most of the Internet users use Google as the search engine whenever they want to find something on the Internet. How to change default search engine in Google Chrome

Step 1: Open Google Chrome and tap on the ‘three dot menu‘ icon located at the top right of the screen. After that, tap on ‘Settings‘.

Step 2: Tap on ‘Search engine‘ in the ‘Basics’ sub-category of the ‘Settings’ menu. The default search engine in Google Chrome will be Google.

Apart from Google, there will be four other options – Yahoo!, Bing, Ask, AOL. Select the search engine you want to set as the default search engine in Google Chrome. I chose Yahoo! as the default search engine. Select the search engine you prefer and tap on ‘Close’.

Now whenever you type something in the search bar of Google Chrome, the search will be performed by the search engine that you chose as the default one. In our case, Yahoo! will perform the search.
