HUAWEI has announced two new smartphones from its midrange Nova Series, the Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus. Both the phones feature a 20 MP selfie camera and a dual camera on the back. Highlighting features of Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus, there are in total three cameras on the phones, and running on EMUI 5.1 OS based on Android 7.0 Nougat.
Jumping on to the cameras of both the phones, there is a dual camera of 12 MP + 8 MP with LED flash. The 12 MP is used for wide-angle shots while the 8 MP is a telephoto lens for more zoom. Fortunately, the camera supports optical image stabilization, and ability to change focus after the taking a shot. The front has a 20 MP selfie camera with beauty filters.
The Nova 2 is a 5-inch device with full HD display covered with 2.5D curved glass on top while the Nova 2 Plus uses a 5.5-inch full HD display. Inside there is an octa-core Kirin 659 CPU clocked at 2.36 GHz, Mali-T830 GPU, 4 GB RAM, and 64 GB internal storage which expands via MicroSD. The Nova 2 is backed up with a 2,950 mAh non-removable battery.
The Plus variant has a larger storage, battery, and screen size. HUAWEI Nova 2 Plus sports a 5.5-inch full HD display, 128 GB internal storage and 3,340 mAh battery. The rest of the specs are same as the Nova 2. Both come with a metal unibody design available in various color options – Green, Rose Gold, Black, Gold, and Blue.

The HUAWEI Nova 2 is priced at CNY 2,499 (~₹23,500) and the Nova 2 Plus is priced at CNY 2,899 (~₹27,250). Both the phones will be made available from 16th June.
Alongside the phones, Huawei also launched side accessories – A Mobile Bracelet priced at CNY 298 (~₹2,800), a Panoramic Camera also known as a Ball camera priced at CNY 899 (~₹8,500), and a Bluetooth Headset priced at CNY 699 (~₹6,500).
