After several teasers and leaks, Huawei has now officially unveiled the new flagships – the Huawei P9 and the Huawei P9 Plus.
Huawei has announced the launch of the Huawei P9 and the Huawei P9 Plus, which is the company’s latest flagship 4G smartphone with full metal body and fingerprint scanner with 3D fingerprint sensor technology. The Huawei P9 has a 5.2 inch display whereas the Huawei P9 Plus has a 5.5 inch display. Both the displays have resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels use a 2.5D AMOLED curved glass with press touch that perceives different levels of pressure on the screen.
The Huawei P9 and the Huawei P9 Plus are both powered by the octa core Kirin 955 processor clocked at 2.5 GHz. The Huawei P9 would be available in two variants – 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB storage or 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB but the Huawei P9 Plus is available with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage.
The main highlight of the Huawei P9 and the Huawei P9 Plus is the dual 12 MP rear camera setup with Leica SUMMARIT lenses and 1.25-micron pixels. The setup promises brilliant image quality in low-light conditions. It also has an independent depth measurement chip and proprietary hybrid-focus technology. Further it offers full manual control and RAW support.
The Huawei P9 is available in Mystic Silver, Titanium Grey and Haze Gold, Prestige Gold and Rose Gold colour options and is priced starting at £449 (approx. Rs. 42000) for the 3 GB variant. The Huawei P9 Plus would be available in Quartz Grey colour and is priced at £549 (approx. Rs. 51000).
