After sharing a sad new about the Samsung bada 2.0 not reaching to all Samsung Wave devices, we have great news for Sony Ericsson Xperia owners. Many sources have pointed out the Android’s latest 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update will reach select Sony Ericsson Xperia devices as early as January 2012. This comes into light as a Sony Ericsson employee has tweeted that the ICS update may reach all Xperia devices in the very first week of January 2012 itself.

But this contradicts with a previous statement form SE Italia on its Facebook page which stated that the update will only reach by March 2012. We also know that the ICS firmware for Xperia Arc and Neo has already been submitted for approval and if this happens soon, then the predictive January 2012 release is certain.

We expect SE Xperia Active, Arc and Arc S, Mini and Mini pro, Neo and Neo V, Play, Pro, Ray and Live with Walkman to be the first set of devices to get this ICS update. Excited?
