While the situation with IRCTC seems to be improving, the company has now released its official Android app to make bookings easier.
IRCTC has released the official Android app called the IRCTC Connect. The app allows the user to book tickets, make PNR enquiries, and check booking and cancellation histories. The Android app was relatively delayed after the Windows Phone 8 and BlackBerry app was released long back.
The IRCTC Connect app offers a one-step login to existing users. The users can use the app to search and book train tickets as well as to view and cancel tickets. The recently added passenger details are retained for future use. New users can register directly from the app. The app can be downloaded from the Google Play store.
