With the smartphone trend moving towards octa core processors, not because of actual performance but the hype generated, Karbonn has launched two new smartphones – the Karbonn Titanium Octane and the Karbonn Titanium Octane Plus.
Karbonn has announced its partnership with MediaTek to launch the Karbonn Titanium Octane and the Karbonn Titanium Octane Plus, both of which are powered by the MediaTek octa core processor clocked at 1.7 GHz and come with the Mali 450 GPU. While both have 16 GB of internal storage, the latter has 2 GB of RAM whereas the former has just 1 GB.
Interestingly, the Karbonn Titanium Octane and the Karbonn Titanium Octane Plus have a massive 16 MP and 13 MP rear facing cameras with LED flash respectively. In the front also there is a 5 MP and 8 MP camera respectively. More importantly, both the phones run on the latest Android KitKat, making Karbonn the first Indian manufacturer to offer device running this version of Android.
The Karbonn Titanium Octane is priced at Rs. 14490 whereas the Karbonn Titanium Octane Plus is priced slightly higher at Rs. 17990. Both the smartphones would be available in late April. As part of the partnership with MediaTek, Karbonn also launched the Karbonn Titanium Hexa which is powered by a hexa core processor.
