Lava Iris Alfa with a 5-inch display, Dual SIM, Quad-core processor launched for Rs 6550

Lava has just launched its new budget friendly smartphone, the Lava Iris Alfa. As with every other new budget smartphone that’s launched these days, the Iris Alfa packs in some decent specs for its price.

The Lava Iris Alfa comes with a 5-inch FWVGA (854x480p) IPS Full Lamination display and it’s powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad-core processor with 1 GB RAM. The device comes with 8 GB internal storage with microSD expansion up to 32 GB.

On the camera front, the device comes with 5 MP primary camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera. The smartphone comes with Android 4.4.2 KitKat on-board and there’s Truecaller premium bundled with the device, Rs. 2000 worth free downloads from the Hungama app and Adaptxt keyboard, which supports 11 Indian languages.

A 2200 mAh battery powers the device and the device comes with a well covered connectivity suite, as it packs Dual SIM, 3G HSPA+, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.

The device will go on sale starting today on retail outlets across the country and ebay for Rs. 6,550.
