LAVA has expanded its smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the LAVA Shark 2 Pro 5G. The new smartphone is positioned in the mid-range segment and brings a 120 Hz display, Unisoc T8200 SoC, 50 MP rear camera and a 6,000 mAh battery.
The Shark 2 Pro 5G follows the LAVA Virat V1 Pro 5G, which was introduced for the online market last month. The new model also features LAVA’s Vayu AI assistant and comes with a stock, bloatware-free Android 16 experience.
120 Hz Display | IP64-Rated Design
The LAVA Shark 2 Pro 5G features a 6.75-inch LCD display with an HD+ resolution (1,612 x 720 pixels), 120 Hz refresh rate, and supports up to 550 nits HBM brightness.
The smartphone has an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance. It is available in Akash Blue and Nanda Silver color options. The phone measures 8.68 mm in thickness and weighs 207 grams.

The Shark 2 Pro 5G is powered by the 6nm UNISOC T8200 octa-core SoC, with a maximum clock speed of 2.3 GHz and an Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. UNISOC confirms that the T8200 is a 5G platform with support for both SA and NSA networks.
LAVA claims the phone achieves an AnTuTu score of more than 500,000. It comes with 6 GB LPDDR4X RAM, with up to an additional 6 GB available through virtual RAM.
For storage, the device has 128 GB UFS 2.2 internal storage, which can be expanded up to 1 TB using a microSD card through the hybrid SIM slot.
The smartphone packs a 6,000 mAh battery designed for extended daily usage. It supports 18W wired charging and comes with a compatible power adapter in the box.
50 MP Rear Camera | 8 MP Selfie Camera
For photography, the LAVA Shark 2 Pro 5G has a 50 MP AI-assisted primary rear camera with an LED flash. The camera software includes Night Mode, HDR, Portrait, Film, Pro Mode and Motion Photo. An 8 MP front camera is provided for selfies and video calls.
The rear camera can record videos at up to 2K resolution at 30 fps and also supports Dual-View Video, allowing content to be captured from the front and rear cameras simultaneously.
Android 16 | Vayu AI | 5G Connectivity
The LAVAShark 2 Pro 5G runs Android 16 with a stock, bloatware-free interface. LAVA has also integrated its Vayu AI assistant into the software. The company has committed to one major Android OS upgrade and two years of security updates.
The Shark 2 Pro 5G supports dual 5G connectivity through its hybrid SIM slot, which can accommodate either two Nano SIM cards or one Nano SIM and a microSD card.
Other connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth and USB Type-C. The specifications also list GPS and GLONASS for positioning. For security, the phone features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner along with software-based Face Unlock.
