Shortly after the release of Xiaomi Redmi Note, other Chinese smartphone companies have got into action mode and unveiled competing budget octa-core phablets. Along with the Huawei Honor 3X, the Lenovo S898T is another smartphone competing in the same category. It offers specs such as a 5.3-inch 720p display and a 13-megapixel rear snapper.
Detailed specs of the smartphone include a 1.4GHz octa-core MediaTek processor, 13MP rear camera and 5 MP front camera. It also comes with microSD card support and runs on Android 4.2.2. The battery configuration is not yet known.
The Lenovo S898T will retail in China for 988 Yuan (around Rs. 10,000). Its global availability is not yet known.
It will come in be two variants – one with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage (at 788 yuan) and other with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage (at 988 yuan).
