LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition starts receiving Android Lollipop update

While most of the major vendors are slowly rolling out the Android Lollipop update, LG too is rolling out the update for the LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition.

LG has released the Android v5.0 Lollipop update for the LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition. Being a Google Play Edition device, the tablet has received the update which is almost similar to the update received on the Nexus devices. The update, measuring 405 MB, is being pushed over the air and is expected to reach users eventually.

The Android v5.0 Lollipop update for the LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition brings Material Design UI elements with the new lock screen notifications, a new battery saving mode and other features including Priority Mode and Smart Lock. The other tablet portfolio of LG is expected to receive the update soon.
