If you have been uploading and downloading your documents and files to MediaFire.com storage portal, then it’s time for you to go mobile. MediaFire released its official Android app for the file sharing services. With 50GB of free storage, MediaFire lets you access all your documents, photos, and videos from anywhere with your Android device. You can now securely store, organize, and share all your data on the web and through your Android device.

MediaFire

The MediaFire for Android app provides desktop capabilities in a mobile experience, allowing users to quickly and securely store, backup, organize and share all their personal and work data anywhere, anytime. The files uploaded from the app are stored on MediaFire’s secured servers and are then accessible via mobile apps and through a user’s desktop and internet browser.

The important features of this app are:

  • Keep all your important files at your fingertips.
  • View docs, spreadsheets, presentations, video, and listen to audio.
  • Take and upload pictures and videos directly in the MediaFire app.
  • Upload Android gallery images.
  • Create and manage folders of files.
  • Share files on the go via email, SMS, through other Android apps, and with copy and paste links.
  • Quickly search all your MediaFire files and folders.

MediaFire’s Google Android app joins the company’s already existing iOS apps which offer the service for iPhone and iPad devices. This move may increase competition to popular sharing services like Google Drive etc.
