Motorola Milestone 2.1 firmware update available for limited users

motorola-milestone-s  Motorola today announced the availability of firmware update for its Milestone handsets. However this update is currently available for users in UK, Spain, France, Ukraine and other parts or Europe. There is no news of its availability for Asian users yet. The firmware update (MR2.5) is not an upgrade for the Android version. Its predominantly performance update for the current version of Android (2.1) in the Milestone handsets.

The update is widely anticipated by Milestone users around the world. A few months ago, Motorola announced the availability of this update and later withdrew it stating technical difficulties as the reason. This update improves the stability of the mobile. Its prevents the applications from ‘force closing’ at many instances. The update also fixes the widely criticized alarm bug in the model. Music functionality, proximity sensor, flight mode, PIN lock feature and audio quality has been enhanced along with an array of bug fixes.
