While Samsung has been pretty consistent with having plastic body for their smartphones, a mysterious handset with a fully metal back has surfaced in China.
According to sources, an unknown Samsung handset bearing model number SM-G3858 was spotted in China at the China’s Telecommunication Equipment Certification Centre. While it is a pretty modest device, the device caught attention for two main reasons. The first being that handset seems to have a complete metal back, which is rarely seen in Samsung handsets.
The second reason is that the Samsung SM-G3858 has an unusual bump on the upper back side. While this could be anything else, keeping in mind the Galaxy Beam, we’re inclined to believe that the device may have a built-in projector. Given that the device has passed certifications, the announcement shouldn’t be too far.
