Add MobiGyaan as a preferred source on GoogleNetflix has launched Into the Southverse, a new collection page for members in India that brings together films and series from across southern India in one place. The dedicated hub is designed to make it easier for viewers to discover stories across different languages, genres, stars, and moods, and is available directly from the Netflix homepage.

The collection brings together a growing selection of stories from the region, including theatrical releases such as Peddi, Blast, Amaran, Maharaja, Court: State vs A Nobody, and Lucky Bhaskar. It also includes Netflix Originals such as the recently premiered Pyaar Prema Kalyanam, Made in Korea, and Super Subbu. Made in Korea became the first title from southern India to reach the No. 1 position on Netflix’s Global Top 10 Non-English Films list, while Super Subbu is Netflix’s first Telugu Original series.
Upcoming titles including the romantic-comedy series #Love and the series Legacy are also set to expand the collection with more genres, stories, and creative voices from the region.
Netflix says Southverse is designed to make its growing focus on stories from southern India easier to explore. The company recently announced that members can expect an average of one new title every week from the region’s film industries for the rest of 2026, covering major post-theatrical releases and Netflix Originals.
The demand for South Indian content also extends beyond the region. According to Netflix, since 2025, its India Top 10 Films list has featured at least one film from southern India every week. During 2025, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam films appeared on the Global Top 10 Non-English Films list in 39 of 52 weeks, while titles from southern India reached Top 10 lists in 59 countries outside India.
Southverse builds on Netflix’s existing curated recommendation experience, allowing members to discover new titles as well as stories they may already enjoy. The company cited its Watch Your Favorite Books collection as another example of this approach, bringing together films and series adapted from manga, novels, webtoons, and other source material.

With Southverse, Netflix aims to bring more stories from southern India to the platform while making them easier for members to find. Southverse is now available to Netflix members in India through the Netflix homepage or via search.
